The Tibor de Nagy Gallery is pleased to present a selection of the artist’s small-scale, urban landscapes. The exhibition focuses on a group of works created over a three-year period of an unspectacular Long Island commuter train station and the surrounding environ. The artist has worked at the site, and on the same motif throughout the year, depicting the parking lot of cars, underpasses, and the brush surrounding it. Through intense observation, the artist transforms the subject and makes it her own. Anna Hostvedt received a BFA from Cooper Union in 1993. This is her second solo exhibition.
